Abstract
Indonesia is one of the
important place for migratory birds Purple-backed starling (Sturnus sturninus.
One of them in the malioboro Yogyakarta which is where the rest of the
population of Purple-backed starling (Sturnus sturninus). Purple-backed
starling (Sturnus sturninus) can be recognized from, measuring a little small
(6 cm), head and breast greyish, dark black backs, wings glistening-green with
conspicuous white wing and flying styles typical Starlings. To find out the
population of Purple-backed starling (Sturnus sturninus) performed by the
method of data retrieval through census and assessments conducted ploting
imaginer way out counting, counting birds that fly out location research. Data
retrieval is performed early in the morning at 04.00 until 06.00 P.M. for three
months (November-January).
